Start(prolouge/1, whatever)

Start

The little boy sat in the corner of the white room. He had no hair and he was so thin.
Suddenly the door flew open. A few men, all wearing white, walked in and surrounded him. The boy looked scared, but they didn’t care. One of them grabbed his skinny arm and pulled him away. The boy screamed and struggled in panic.
            “No! No!”
The man grinned as he pulled the boy away. The boy struggled for a while, then another man grabbed his arm. He then took out a syringe from his pocket and put it into the boy’s arm. He screamed in pain, but then he fell to the man’s arms.
•••
RIIING!
The man with black hair moved his hand towards the alarm on the bedside table. His hand hit the alarm, but then it suddenly moved away and fell to the ground. It then started to roll away as it rang.
            “So noisy!”
The man got up from his bed angrily, then he stood up and walked to the rolling alarm clock. He took it, then he threw it down to the marble floor.
            CRASH!
The alarm was finally off, with its components scattered on the floor. The man panted as he sat down on the floor.
            “What’s the time?”
He took the broken alarm and looked at it for a while, but the clock no longer had any arms as it was down on the floor. The man threw it down again.
“This isn’t good! This isn’t funny at all!”
He stood up and walked to the cherry bedside table, then he took a white iPhone lying on it and looked at it for a while. It was 07:12.
            “Time to get ready.”
He walked towards a white door near the bed, then he opened it and got in. He entered the room, which had a white bathtub at the corner. There was a toilet next to the bathtub and a sink with a mirror in front of the toilet. The man walked to the mirror, then he looked at himself. Some whiskers have grown above his lips and on his chin,. He walked out of the room, then a few seconds later he came back with a shave and a glass in his hands. There was a red toothbrush and green toothpaste in the glass. He walked to the mirror again, then he started shaving.
Suddenly some red liquid dripped on the white sink. He put down the shave on the sink as he wiped his chin. He took the toothbrush, then he took the green tube and pressed it, but nothing came out. He pressed it again, but there was still nothing.
            “Damn!”
He threw down the tube, then he took the toothbrush and started to brush his teeth.
“This is getting more and more…”
He turned on the tap on the bathtub, then water started to flow to the tub. He took off his pajamas, then he got into the tub. He pressed a button near the tap, then some water rained down to him. He sat there for a while, then he turned off the tap and stood up. He walked out of the bathroom and slammed the door behind. He then walked to a wooden wardrobe in front of him and opened the door. There were a few black uniforms, green uniforms, and blue uniforms hung inside. There were also some white shirts and pants below the uniforms. He took a black uniform and white boxer shorts, then he wore them and buttoned the uniform.
            “How boring…”
He opened the brown door, then he walked out of his room. He stopped before a black table and sighed. He then opened the cupboard behind him and took out a red plastic glass with the word ‘Instant Noodles’ on it. He put it on the table, then he tore the top flap with his fingers. He turned back and took a black kettle, then he poured in some water into the glass. He took the fork included inside the glass and pulled the only chair and sat down. He started eating as he took a black Samsung remote near him. He pressed the red button at the right corner, then the television in front of him was on.
“Good morning, I’m Fiona Yeong, and today, in Newsflash…”
He listened to the woman with black hair in the TV without any interest.
“Last night, there was a police operation in the eastern streets…”
He stopped eating and looked up to the TV. Now there were a few journalists crowding a man with black hair and thick moustache.
“The operation is to drive away drug traffickers,” she said. “But the operation was a failure, and 5 of 8 policemen were killed.”
He sighed, then he looked down again and ate again.
“Chief Officer Jason Zhang promised to send one of his best men…”
He sighed again and watched the TV again.
“To quickly drive out the drug traffickers. Currently the policemen in Hong Kong are incapable to…”
He pressed the red button again, and the TV monitor went dark. He stood up and walked to the brown door just next to the TV.
“It’s time to go to work.”
•••
            “William!”
The man opened the door and smiled. Another man with longer hair walked to him and smiled.
“William!” he called again as William sat down next to him. “How are you?”
He sighed as he sat down next to William, then he looked away. William looked at the direction he looked at. It was a room with glass window, with a glass door and blinds.
“I’m fine, but looks like Greg isn’t,” he said. “He was in charge of last night’s ambush.”
He turned to William and smiled.
            “Coffee?”
“What do you think you’re doing!”
The both of them took a sudden breath upon hearing the shout. They looked back to the room and the shout obviously came from inside.
“You’re dragging our reputation through the mud! Do you want to lose the citizens’ trust?”
There was a short silence, but then William covered his ears with his hands.
“If you don’t, then why don’t you do it more seriously!”
There was another silence, but then another shout from inside could be heard.
            “William Fu!”
William put down his hands, then he walked to the room and opened the door. The man with long hair watched him, worried. He opened the glass door and saluted.
“Yes, sir,” he said. He then lowered his hand and walked in. There was a man with brown hair sitting behind a mahogany desk, and he was wearing a white shirt with black tie. He looked pissed with the man with short black hair who was standing in front of him.
“William!” the man with white shirt shouted. “I want you to go to the place those bastards usually gather in, and kill them all! You understand?”
William saluted and stepped his left foot to the floor.
            “Yes, sir!”
•••
            2430 hours
A bald man with pink shirt and white pants entered the room as he lit a cigarette with a match that shaped like a gun. Some smoke came out from the end of the cigarette,
            “You’re late.”
“Sorry, sorry,” the man said as he pulled a wooden chair and sat down.  Another man with blue shirt appeared and sat in front of him. He was holding a box of Ardath in his hands. He smiled as he took out a lighter that shaped like a can.
“Where are the rest?” the man with bald hair asked. “Am I the only one who’s late?”
“Not really,” the man with blue shirt said. “The others are too scared to come after the police’s ambush.”
The bald man sighed, then he looked around.
            “And our client…?”
“Should be here soon,” the man with blue shirt said. “And the thing is right there.”
He pointed to a direction, then a bald man looked to that direction. There was a big cardboard box there, and a few plastics around it. The small plastics were filled with white powders.
“Interesting,” the bald man said. “I look forward to see the man that ordered it.”
Suddenly they could hear footsteps. The bald man spitted out his cigarette, then it fell to the floor and he stepped on it. They could see a man wearing a black coat walking towards them, and he was holding a suitcase. The lightning was too dim so that they couldn’t look at his face. He stopped a few steps from them and looked at the both of them. The man with blue shirt smiled.
“You’re the one who ordered these?”
“I came in his place,” the mysterious man said. “Can I take my thing, please?”
He pointed to the box, but then the bald man gave out his hand.
“Before you take it, the money,” he said. The man looked at him for a while, then he put the suitcase on the table. The bald man opened it and smiled.
“Good,” he said. “Take your thing.”
The mysterious man walked past them, to the box. The man with blue shirt took out a cigarette from the box and put it on the table.
“Get done with your thing and leave,” the bald man said. “You don’t want to be tracked down by the police, don’t you?”
The man nodded as he took out something from his pocket. He wiped it with his hand, then he pointed it to the two men who wasn’t looking at him.
“Yeah,” he said with a smile. “I don’t.”
He turned back and aimed a gun to the bald man, then he pulled the trigger.
            CLICK
The bald man fell to the table. The man with blue shirt turned to him, but suddenly he fell down to the floor. William put back his gun into his pocket and turned away.
            “I think I should clean up around…”
He walked to the box, then he looked at it for a while. There were a lot of plastic bags filled with white powder inside. He knelt down and took a plastic bag, then he put it into his pocket.
“I should get done over this quickly and quietly…”
He took out a white chalk from his pocket and knelt down beside the two bodies.
“It’s too bad,” he said. “I’ll keep her waiting pointlessly tonight…”
He took out his iPhone and tapped it a few times. He then put it back again and started drawing a line near the bald man.
            “You…”
He turned and saw the man with blue shirt trying to sit up. He smiled to him, then he drew again.
“You’re still alive,” William said as he continued to draw. “Good.”
He touched his bleeding chest as he fell down again. William stood up and took out his gun again, then he pointed it to the man.
“I want to ask something,” he said. “If you want to live a little bit longer, you’d better answer it.”
The man looked at him in fear and nodded. All he wanted was to stay alive a little bit longer.
“Who ordered the drug?” William asked. “Just give me the name.”
The man could feel his tension dropped as he answered.
            “Hans…”
William smiled, and the man could feel fear went across his body.
            “Hans Hong.”
William smiled in satisfaction, then he stepped back.
“Last question,” he said. “Please be truthful.”
The man could feel fear dominated his body as he nodded. William looked at him for a while, then he sighed.
            “Where’s Darren Fu?”
The man looked surprised, then he shook his head.
            “I… I can’t tell you that…”
William sighed, then the man could feel the coldness of metal on his forehead. William smiled as he pulled the trigger.
            “Ding. You’re wrong.”
•••

“Last night, civilians in the Eastern streets claimed that they heard three shots…”
The man with black hair watched the woman wearing a purple shirt on the television as he sipped his coffee from a white mug.
“And this morning, in the basement of Bar Galliano, two men were found dead and there was a box of ecstasy found in there. The men were shot – one on his stomach, the other on his chest and forehead. However…”
“Morning,” William said as he entered the room. He was wearing his black uniform and he was holding a black coat.
“There was a line of chalk drawn around the men, and some yellow police lines. Looks like this it’s an act done by the police…”
“What’s on air?” William asked as he sat on his chair. The man kept watching without saying anything.
“And at the same night, a man recognized as Hans Hong was killed in his mansion – he was stabbed on the back…”
“Anthony.”
“Yes, sorry,” the man said as he turned to William. “How’s the mission?”
William put his coat on his desk, then he took out a few things from the pocket.
“Going well,” he said as he yawned. “Ah, I stayed up last night. I wonder if I can do some office work today.”
Anthony leaned down and covered his mouth in amazement. There was a gun, a bag of white powder, and…
“Are those scalps?”
“I think I need to proof to Jason I killed the gang,” he said. “And by the way, there’s one the other who’s not part of the gang. He ordered the drug…”
He pointed the plastic bag.
“I think this will make a good evidence,” he said. “But I didn’t have much time to wrap up things last night, because I needed to track down Hans.”
He looked at Anthony for a while, then he smiled.
“Did you shave your hair?”
The door behind them flew open and a man with brown hair, wearing a white shirt and black tie walked out.
“William!”
William stood up and saluted.
“Yes, sir,” he said. “I brought you all the things I thought I need to…”
Jason walked to the table and looked at the stuff on it with amazement. He turned to William and smiled.
“Bloody!” he exclaimed. “How’d you do that?”
He turned to a policeman with short black hair who was sitting across the room.
“You see, Greg?” he asked. “Learn from your friend…”
He turned to William in amazement and smiled.
“Amazing!” he said. “You deserve a raise!”
William smiled and shook his head.
“Don’t worry, sir,” he said. “I won’t be here for that long, after all.”
